Lakeside holidays at Austria’s warmest lake

Arrival by car

  • Coming from the North: take the A8 (to Munich-Salzburg), followed by the A10 (Tauernautobahn) to Villach. Then take the A2 (Süd-Autobahn) heading for Vienna until you reach the exit Grafenstein (Klopeiner See). From there on stay on the countryside road B70 and head for the holiday destination lake Klopein. 
  • Coming from the South: take the A10 (Tauernautobahn) to Villach, then switch to the A2 (Süd-Autobahn) heading for Vienna until you reach the exit Grafenstein (Klopeiner See). From there on stay on the countryside road B70 and head for the holiday destination lake Klopein.
  • Coming from the East: take the A2 (Süd-Autobahn) heading for Klagenfurt, but leave the highway at the exit Völkermarkt Ost. Then drive through the small city of Völkermarkt towards the holiday destination lake Klopein.

Arrival by plane

  • The airport Klagenfurt (approx. 20km) is the closest airport to the holiday destination lake Klopein. There is a range of daily and weekly flight connections from Vienna (can be used as a hub for international flights), Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne to Klagenfurt Airport.

Arrival by train

Your train journey directly into the holiday destination lake Klopein – South Carinthia: take the train from your closest train station to Klagenfurt HBF. From there on you can continue your journey by train to Kühnsdorf.
